We founded My Gold Souq on the belief that making fine jewelry doesn’t have to come at the cost of our values, our communities or our planet. We believe true sustainability is about transparently addressing our impacts on the environment and the people in our ecosystem.
For that reason, we strike a balance between recycled and fairly mined materials that support communities dependent on the industry. Traceability is important because it allows us to validate the authenticity of the material and improve the social and environmental impacts of our pieces. As we grow globally and expand our networks, maximizing the transparency and traceability of our supply chain is our ultimate goal.
18k Solid Gold
Solid gold is a precious metal that will not oxidize or discolor. The 18k alloy gives our pieces their beautiful, subtle hue. It is also an active lifestyle's best friend; it scratches less and doesn't bend or wear out easily. All of our 18k gold pieces are stamped with the industry standard “18K” or “750”, except for our Bold Chain Ring and Thin Chain Ring.
Ethically Sourced Diamonds
Diamonds are one of the hardest natural substances found on earth. Our high-quality diamonds (SI 1-2 clarity) are ethically sourced from our suppliers who follow conflict-free and socially responsible practices. We only use Kimberley Process certified diamonds.
We only use ethically sourced and conflict-free natural, mineral gemstones. All of our precious and semi-precious gemstones are AAA grade, considered the rarest and most valuable.
AAA grade is assigned to gemstones that are considered “being near perfect.” Though these gemstones do show some variation in color, they are clean, well cut and polished to a very high standard.
Natural Bahraini Pearls
We use natural saltwater Bahraini pearls from oysters that we carefully select for our pieces. Pearls are sensitive in nature, so don’t forget to treat them with love.
